How to get FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets: Cheapest prices per match and reseller info

FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets are sold in phases, and resale options are already open. Here's how to navigate pricing and availability.

The 2026 World Cup is shaping up to feel bigger than any edition before it. For the first time, the tournament will be hosted across three countries — the United States, Canada, and Mexico — and expanded to 48 teams, which means more matches, more cities, and more chances for fans to get in on the action. But knowing how to get FIFA World Cup tickets hasn't been smooth sailing for many footy fans.

How to get FIFA World Cup tickets

We've scoured the internet for reliable options to buy legit World Cup tickets. After the fiasco of the opening rounds of lotteries and multiple logins to the official FIFA sites, we've seen the usual reseller sites pop up with tickets for every World Cup match.

And unlike the first few weeks, we're finally starting to see prices drop - by as much as 30% in some cases. FIFA is still releasing tickets in dribs and drabs, but we're finding they're much more expensive than comparable seats on the resale market.

Keep reading to see the full schedule for the 2026 World Cup. If you're ready to commit, head to Vivid Seats, or StubHub to secure your seats.

FIFA World Cup 2026 schedule

For the World Cup, the field expands to 48 teams split into 12 groups of four. Each team plays three group-stage matches (one vs. every other team in its group), and the top two teams in each group advance — along with the eight best third-place teams — to form a 32-team knockout bracket.

We've listed all of the group matches below, along with when and where the knockout fixtures take place afterwards. We've also added the cheapest price for a ticket for each match in US dollars.

These prices are changing constantly, of course, but are correct at the time of publication. Since they initially went on sale a few months back, we have noticed some prices actually dropping in the last few weeks, at least.

How much are FIFA World Cup tickets?

There's no getting around it, the 2026 World Cup ticket prices are the highest we've ever seen. Some venues are notably more expensive than others, and prices for the more popular teams are especially high.

Given tickets for the knockout rounds will be in flux until we know more about what teams are involved, let's focus on prices for the group stages for now.

At the time of writing, Mexico City, and not just because of the super high price of the opening game of the tournament, has the highest average ticket price per match for the cheapest ticket at $1, 200. This is closely followed by Zapopan at $1,182, then Miami at $1,180.

East Rutherford, New Jersey, comes in at $832, on average, as the cheapest ticket price for its matches. Arlington, Texas, sits at $753, and Foxborough is $630.

On the opposite end of the scale, the average cheap seats in Atlanta start at a much more reasonable $324, Monterrey, Mexico, is $308, while a trip to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara looks almost bargain-like at $225.

It won't be much of a surprise, though, to see that these lower prices often reflect the lack of international soccer superpowers playing at the time, with the one exception of a couple of Spain's matches in Atlanta.

When did 2026 FIFA World Cup tickets go on sale?

Tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup first went on sale in September 2025, when FIFA opened the Visa Presale Draw as the initial sales phase (a lottery-style window for eligible Visa cardholders). After that, FIFA continued releasing inventory through additional sales phases (including draw-based windows and subsequent purchase periods), with availability varying by match, venue, and demand.

If you're looking for the next major buying opportunity, FIFA opened the Last-Minute Sales in early April 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis, via the official FIFA ticketing platform. Since this window has long passed, StubHubandVivid Seatsare your best bet for secondhand seats to sold-out games.
